"Marion is intelligent, fun, sarcastic, talented, and has a very bad behavior", says Marit while she holds her guitar.

 "Marit is very noble, and I think I can trust her, she has a great sense of humor because she laughs at my jokes, she is very good at playing the guitar, and writes excellent songs", 
says the black haired, 16 years old adolescent Marion.

They are M2M, a Norwegian group, that has in thepast year managed to get to be one of the most successful pop groups in the world. "We are very pleased with what has happened", comments Marit, 
"because we always dreamt of recording an album, and that our music would reach the biggest number of people as possible, but we never thought how it was going to really happen, so it is a surprise".

Shades of Purple represents only the first step for their internationalization. Now, after a very interesting tour with the Hanson brothers, they are getting prepared to continue growing as artists 
and songwriters. "Being with Hanson was an honor. We have always admired them for their talent to write and play their own songs", says Marion
Marion comments "our lyrics come out from everyday facts; such as in Don't Say You Love Me, where it is about boys that tell you they love you when they really don't, and just wanna 
get something from you". Our music is created with the intention to make people feel anything when they hear it; not necessarily happiness , but raising in them any sensation", adds Marit.
Ok, you have been always together since little, so, don't you get tired of being around like bubble gum for so much time? "Yes, sure", says Marion, "we get fed uo of each other as 
any friends do, but we has a fight or a serious discussion", "Even those little problems are fun, and make you love more that person", says Marit.
In fact, in their personal lives, the M2M girls are best friends. They pass all their time chatting (who knows what because they talk in Norwegian) and they sing whatever comes to their minds, 
no matter if it is not one of their songs.

While Marion loves the Beatles, Counting Crows and Celine Dion (although she is a little bit ashamed to say it), Marit opts for the female guitars by excellence such as Janis Joplin, Sheryl Crow and Jewel.
"But our immediate influence", answers Marit, "are the Beatles. It sounds like a cliche, but that's the truth, although our influences come from everywhere, as long as it is music".

Before ending, the M2M girls accept to tell something about themselves that is not very known. "About Marit, vey few people know that she is all the time wearing eye contacts", laughs Marion. 
Marit strikes back "Marion's best kept secret is that she loves the orange soft drink, and she asks for it everywhere, no matter how much is costs or how it tastes".
"It was real joy for me when I discovered that you have Fanta in Mexico", accepts Marion, "because I always drink it in Norway, but like it does not exist in the U.S., I did not think you would have it here".

The New Year: like every human being in the planet, Marit and Marion are not the exception for new year goals. So here are their purposes:

Marit
"My biggest objective is to get all the inspiration needed to make a great second album... I am a little superstitious, so I think that if you have a goal for an entire year, eventually it comes true or 
gets very near to what you wanted".

Marion
"I wanna be the best singer, best pianist, I wanna be, you know, good... truly I don't believe in purposes, but much more in goals.

"We hope to reach much more people with our music, that they like us, write new songs, and record an amazing album this year".
