M2M CELEBRATES SPRING BREAK WITH DAWSON'S CREEK Atlantic recording duo M2M will hit the beach this week for a very special appearance on the WB's hit series, Dawson's Creek. Marion Raven, 17, and Marit Larsen, 18, will perform three songs - their current single, "Everything," plus "Don't" and "Miss Popular - at a spring break beach party attended by the Dawson's Creek gang. M2M's second album, "THE BIG ROOM," is the highly anticipated follow-up to their acclaimed 2000 debut, "SHADES OF PURPLE." Released March 5th, "THE BIG ROOM" is already shaping up to be one of the year's most praised albums. James Hunter of the Village Voice hails the collection as "a pop masterpiece," going on to declare M2M as "teenpop's deepest artists. Or they might just be two uncanny singers and songwriters who happen to be under 20… The real thing that makes pop music go is artists who are there. And make no mistake: Produced by Jimmy Bralower - M2M on 'THE BIG ROOM' are there." "Everything," the first single from "THE BIG ROOM," has just begun impacting at pop radio outlets nationwide. A companion video clip - directed by Chris Applebaum (Third Eye Blind, Lit, Semisonic) - recently premiered on Nickelodeon. In addition, the single recently garnered a rave review from Billboard's Chuck Taylor, who praised the track as "a smart, driving song, drenched in glittering harmonies and indelible hooks," concluding "This is a real burst of joy." Marit and Marion will spend their summer performing across North America as the very special guests of fellow Atlantic recording artist Jewel. Slated to begin on June 14th at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center in Tampa, Florida, the tour - Jewel's first since the summer of 1999 - will hit major amphitheaters and arenas across the U.S. and Canada. M2M are currently serving as spokeswomen for the second annual Pantene Pro-Voice music competition, a national contest sponsored by Pantene Pro-V?. The competition is designed to recognize, celebrate and honor young women who choose to use their voice as a tool for positive self-expression. The five Pro-Voice finalists will appear with M2M at a special concert to be held July 18th in New York City. The event will then be broadcast on MuchMusic USA and Comcast cable systems nationwide.
